New York fire officials have accused 50 Cent of delaying the investigation on the fire that burnt his Long Island mansion to the ground earlier this year.

According to The New York Daily News, the fire officials claim that the rapper has failed to schedule an interview to help their investigation.

"We interview every owner of every structure that goes on fire," said an unnamed official. "It's standard procedure."

The Long Island mansion was destroyed by a fire in May. Shaniqua Tompkins (50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend) and their ten-year-old son lived in the mansion and were in the home when the fire occurred.

Prior to the fire, not only were 50 and Tompkins in a heated legal dispute over the house, but the rapper was also attempting to evict her.

After the fire occurred, Tompkins accused 50 Cent of orchestrating the blaze. The G-Unit honcho denied her claims and filed a defamation lawsuit against her.

Fire officials have deemed the mansion fire "suspicious." A 5-gallon gas container was also found on the grounds.

Brett Kimmel, 50 Cent's lawyer, had no comment when reached.
