I feel like this post should stick to the theme.

Assuming popular modern mythology is true:

If you were God/G-d/Jehovah/Rukas/Allah/Elohim, would you forgive/redeem Satan/Lucifer/Dan Snyder/Iblis?

Don't they have to? They would cease to be 'good' without having someone on the other end of the spectrum who is 'evil'. Evil people always make good people look better.

forgiving someone once is ok, but if you keep doing it all the time either you're too stupid or an accomplice of that person, and I don't wanna be satan's accomplice :(

I tried to ask this next question to a group of kids who were on mushrooms, once, just to fuck with them and see what they would say, but one of them got upset with me and left to go write a letter to himself, another was too engrossed with the textures of every surface around him, and the third was also drinking, so yeah.

There's a trilogy called His Dark Materials - The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass. It's a pretty great bit of fantasy, they're trying to present them as a late-'90s version of Tolkien's work which is kind of acceptable. Some of you may have read them (or probably the first one, since the second and third ones are where the controversial stuff happens) in middle school or high school.

Anyway, one of the things going on in the series is a bunch of guys decide they're tired of the Church/religion and want to get rid of its stranglehold on the worlds (they've got, like, different dimensions and shit) and life and the afterlife. But instead of a Reformation or whatever, they decide to literally overthrow and kill God.

Assuming that God exists and you can work up the means to get near him, would you kill him?

If it could be kept under wraps, yes.

If it would become public knowledge, then no because I wouldn't want to make a martyr out of him.

Depends on the God. If it was a Creator God that just created everything and left it as it is, I'd leave him alone. If it was a God that created earthquakes and shit, then I'd murk him.

And if it was all-conquering God who created us & gave us the bad shit?

An analogy in this case being an abusive mother....

God created us and gave us bad stuff, because life isn't like a box of chocolates. if you're a christian, after tha rapture and everything is over, then life will be like a box of chocolates .
