Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel has been sentenced to two years' probation for an assault which took place in 2003.
Sigel, who has had three top five albums in the US, did not dispute the prosecutor's version of events. The victim in the case said the rapper punched him in both eyes, breaking his left eye socket, after a January 2003 argument outside a Chinese restaurant.
Beans has spent time in jail for gun possession and was recently cleared of attempted murder. Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, was also briefly jailed in 2005 for failing to keep up his child support payments.
His lawyer, Fortunato Perri, said the rapper now planned to "make music, make movies and work on his clothing line".
