Busta Rhymes was caught ridin’ dirty last Thursday by cops who spotted him using his cell phone while behind the wheel of a car…a no-no in the state of New York. It didn’t help that he was yakking away while driving past a police station.
Busta, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was issued a summons for a moving violation after police spotted him at about 7 p.m. Thursday and pulled him over.
This is just the latest mark on Busta’s growing rap sheet. Last month, he went to court on assault charges brought by a man who says he was beaten by the artist after accidentally spitting on his car in August. The artist is due back in court in that case on Dec. 11.
Rhymes still refuses to talk to police about the unsolved shooting death of his bodyguard Israel Ramirez in February. The incident occurred outside at taping of his remix music video for "Touch It" in Brooklyn.
