Condemned rapper Christopher "Cool C" Roney was granted a stay of execution by a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania judge on Wednesday (February 1st).
As previously reported, The Hilltop Hustler was was scheduled for a lethal injection March 9, for the 1996 murder of police officer Lauretha Vaird.
Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell signed the rapper's execution warrant back on January 10th. But Judge Gary Glazer has issued an order to put Cool C's execution on hold until his post-conviction litigation is resolved.
