DMX is currently under investigation for allegedly giving a false name at an Arizona hospital to avoid being billed.
According to The Arizona Republic, authorities believe that DMX checked into one of three Mayo Hospital Clinics in Arizona on April 15 under the name of "Troy Jones" and was treated for pneumonia.
The accusation is part of a May 9 search warrant which was served to Mayo hospitals in Phoenix and Scottsdale seeking for documents related to "Troy Jones."
Authorities say DMX admitted himself into one of the Mayo hospitals as "Troy Jones" complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains but gave his real birth date, December 18th 1970.
They claim DMX stayed at the hospital for 8 hours and told a visitor to his hospital room that "someone in the projects is going to get the bill."
A spokesperson for Mayo hospital said that they don't reveal patients identities even under assumed names and could not disclose the amount of their bills.
A police spokesperson said he could not reveal any details about the investigation including the cost of DMX's hospital stay.
DMX has not been charged.
The hospital search warrants were served the same day that DMX's Arizona home was raided last week. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found during the raid. The rapper's home was also raided last year and authorities found 12 undernourished pit bulls and the remains of three dogs in the backyard.
DMX was arraigned Thursday on four counts of drug possession and seven counts of animal-cruelty. The rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges and will be back in court on July 2.
