Rapper Koopsta Knicc, a former member of the Oscar-winning group Three 6 Mafia, was thrown behind bars in Memphis Thursday, accused of forcing his way into a house and robbing three people at gunpoint.
Authorities charged him with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault for allegedly taking off with more than $7,000, a diamond ring, leather jacket and cell phone.
Born Robert Phillips, the 30-year-old has a long rap sheet that includes aggravated burglary, domestic violence assault, and convictions for burglary, assault and reckless driving. He was arrested three different times in 2005 and earlier this year he was charged with writing a $650 bad check to a friend.
