Hip-Hop monarch’s from around the world will come together on the dates of July 12 to 16th to emcee the first ever “UK Hip Hop Summit” (UHHS). The event itself will take place through out parts of London, and promises to deliver some of the biggest names from both American and British hip-hop cultures. By doing so; to well inspire the younger people of Britain, and give hip-hop a better out look as being a resplendent form of art, instead of being looked at as a channel of “fortune and fame”.
As being supported by Russell Simmons, the network of stars so far includes Black Twang, Tim Kash, Melle Mel, Mark Live, Leon Black, and many other important members of the industry. Each day of the event will be celebrated differently, with special themes that are dedicated to many of the minorities of hip-hop culture. An acclaim from the Scottish, Welsh, and Irish will be expressed on stage, as well as dedications to the “Women of Hip-Hop”, and even a flash holler to the “Tru Skool hip-hop pioneers”.
For those who are not able to come join the festivities, the show will also be broadcasted on radio, and hosted by leading FM radio and MTV affiliate, Tim Cash. The main Summit, which will be hosted on July 16th, will be televised with the hosts of Ice-T and “UK media baron” Akosua. The red carpet and after party will be televised live in America, France, Italy, Germany, Nigeria, and at a majority of other cities that have relation to the event.
