LL Cool J looks ready to diversify once more as he enters negotiations to become the face – or lips – of the lip care product Chapstick.
The deal, which is being organised by Violator Artist Management, was recently revealed to Brand Week magazine.
"It's an obvious fit. LL has been licking his lips for 20 years," Mr. Lighty told Brand Week. "They'll get to speak to people who normally would not pick up Chapstick."
After releasing his Platinum Body book last year, the rapper is keen to endorse a training or body building supplement in the fitness market.
Apparently 50 Cent is also seeking to expand with endorsements; he too is part of Violator along with such stars as Diddy, Missy Elliott, Q-Tip and Three 6 Mafia.
50 Cent is set to do promotions for Glaceau Vitaminwater, a company in which he is an investor.
Both artists have albums due this year, with LL Cool J’s to be executively produced by 50 Cent.
