Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell has announced that he is retiring from hip hop to begin a career as an executive in the adult entertainment field.
"I am tired of being in an industry that doesn't appreciate me," Luke told AllHipHop.com. "I have done so much for Hip-Hop and 'til this day, I haven't received any awards or any recognition for it. If it wasn't for the 2 Live Crew, videos wouldn't look like they do and rappers wouldn't sound like they do. I am going into the adult market because they don't care what label you are signed to or who you know. My company is going to cater to the upscale urban market; it will [be] like Playboy, featuring our women and things we like to see."
The Miami legend just released his three-disc audio book, Uncle Luke: My Life and Freaky Times.
