The co-founder of 2 Live Crew, Mr. Mixx, is getting busy at Nevada's famous Bunny Ranch brothel writing songs for his next solo album.
Vgnl Minded, Mixx's first solo album in three years, will contain the same kind of explicit lyrics that made 2 Live Crew the entertainment industry's unlikely poster boys for freedom of expression back in 1994.
The rappers were brought up on obscenity charges for performing "Me So Horny" in Florida and the case went all the way to the Supreme Court, which cited the First Amendment right to free speech in ruling in favor of 2 Live Crew.
"Basically I'm taking the same musical approach."
Mixx said his two disc set will include behind-the-scenes footage at the Bunny Ranch and bonus videos from Hungry Hustler Records.
The set is due out in March 2006.
