According to AllHipHop.com, Death Row Records will re-launch on Saturday (April 18) with the release of a three-track CD sampler containing unreleased material.
The album will include Crooked I’s “Hoodstar,” “Do What You Do” by R&B singer Danny Boy and “Pay for the Pussy” by Petey Pablo.
Tha Row has deliberately chosen April 18 as the day to resume business, just in time to celebrate the national event dubbed: Record Store Day – honoring independent music and retailers.
In related news, E1 Entertainment (formerly Koch Records) has formed an alliance with the new Death Row Records to get back on the music scene and to help re-launch the record label.
The upcoming CD will be the first official Death Row Records release containing new material since 2007’s 15 Years on Death Row.
