Miami-based Slip-N-Slide Records has signed a multi-million dollar deal with Jay-Z’s Def Jam that will see the creation of a Slip-N-Slide/Def Jam imprint with brand new artists - Rick Ross, of Miami; and Citty, of Atlanta.
Veteran Slip-N-Slide artists Trina, Trick Daddy and Plies will remain signed under Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic.
Slip-N-Slide President Ted "Touche" Lucas said of the Def Jam partnership: "We met with every major label head across the country, but the level of respect that Def Jam showed for Slip-N-Slide was priceless. Jay-Z saw Slip-N-Slide's vision and was willing to do everything in his power to make that vision a reality.”
