According to the Associated Press (AP), Academy Award winning actor Russell Crowe helped Snoop Dogg get back into Australia, after the rapper was banned for having a criminal record.
Australian immigration officials lifted the ban on Snoop after after Crowe wrote a letter saying that Snoop would do youth charity work if they allowed him back in.
“We took into account all relevant factors and, on balance, the department decided to grant the visa,” said an immigration spokesman.
In October, Snoop Dogg will join with Ice Cube and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to tour throughout parts of Australia.
Tour dates are as follows:
October 29 - Brisbane Entertainment Center
October 31 - Sydney Acer Arena
November 2 - Melbourne Rod Laver Arena
November 5 - Adelaide Entertainment center
November 7 - Perth Burswood Dome
