Popular indie rapper and Kansas City native, Tech N9ne, is gearing up for the release of a brand new album on the 1st of July, and he wants to finally pass that million sold mark.
He's already one of the best selling indie artist of today's crop, but with his forthcoming double-disc album, Killer, he feels he can finally reach that milestone in his career.
There's no word as to how many albums he needs to reach his goal, but here's a few numbers to compare. Tech's most recent effort, 2007's Misery Loves Company, sold a reported 67,000 copies, while some his 2002 release, Absolute Power, recorded over 250,000 units scanned.
His upcoming release, Killer, features appearances from Ice Cube, Scarface and Paul Wall. It is slated to hit stores July 1.
He is also slated to head back on the road at the end of July for the Strange Noize 2 tour with co-headliners, Kottonmouth Kings, and supporting acts (Hed) p.e., Sen Dog (Cypress Hill) and hip-hop legends X-Clan.
Tech N9ne release his first album in 1999, and began working alongside Quincy Jones' son and producer QDIII. Since then, he's released 11 albums, has toured non-stop, and built a fledging label, Strange Music, from the ground up.
