Super-producer Timbaland has sued Australian owned Showtime Touring Group for causing clashes to his tour, as well as causing the Australian press to tarnish his image.
In August, Timbaland was booked to perform in five Australian cities, but according to The New York Sun, Timbaland canceled at the last minute.
In the lawsuit that Timbaland filed last week, he claims that he never received money from the Australian based touring company.
Showtime Touring Group released a press release saying that Timbaland and his manager never contacted the company, which the company then assumed that Timbaland wasn’t interested in the tour because of his wedding and honey moon.
Timbaland also claims that the company had set-up sponsors without his approval.
Showtime Touring Group has yet to comment on the situation.
Timbaland (real name: Timothy Z. Mosley) is currently working on Shock Value 2, which is expected to be released sometime in 2009.
