Hot Boys rapper and former Cash Money artist Tab "Turk" Virgil was
sentenced to 12 years in prison by a Memphis judge last week after he pleaded guilty to the 2004 shooting of a sheriff's deputy.
Turk, 25, was accused of firing shots from a bedroom closet during a SWAT Team raid at a Memphis apartment that struck a deputy four times.
Last year, Turk was convicted in federal court for being a felon, drug addict and fugitive in possession of a firearm and was sentenced to ten years. He’ll serve his state and federal sentences consecutively.
