Bad Boy rapper Yung Joc failed to make court appearance in Cleveland today (December 26th, 2007) to be arraigned on a felony charge for carrying a concealed weapon.
As reported earlier, a loaded gun was found in the rapper’s carry-on luggage at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport early Sunday (December 23rd, 2007) morning.
Joc, who was taken into custody without incident, would be released from jail on Monday (December 24th, 2007) on $50,000 bond.
Cuyahoga County assistant prosecutor, Gayle Williams, revealed to The Associated Press that Joc is now considered a fugitive and she plans to request a warrant for his arrest.
Joc's lawyer, Stanley Jackson Jr., apologized in court saying that his client was out of town because of personal and family obligations.
Joc's bond was doubled to $100,000 by Judge Michael John Ryan, who stressed to Joc's lawyer that the rapper must appear in court.
