Lots of shows coming to an end tonight. Season-wise. Mostly HBO shows.

I don't watch GoT, but I will be missing Veep and Silicon. I guess we'll still have John Oliver for another month or two.

I think I'm going to downgrade our satellite channel package and use the savings to get HBO. HBOGo, I think it's called, will be awesome to have once I move out. It'll let me finally watch The Wire in HD and other stuff I always wanted to watch like Newsroom and Trueblood.

Did anyone like Trueblood?

Silicon Valley is so good, I miss that show almost as much as GoT. Trueblood was cool for the first two seasons then went who knows where. I think you're thinking of HBONow

It will last another series, 2 max.

It will lose viewers very quickly. I am not a fan of Clarkson, but the show won't work without Hammond, May and Clarkson.

Is Go and Now not the same thing? From my understanding, Go is for people that have HBO as part of their TV package and they just log in to HBO to view it on the go.

Go is for wire-cutters that just want HBO to stream on their devices?

Sounds like a minor technical difference, but I hope there's no difference in content between the two.

I have been using FireFox without Flash for some time now and it reminded me how powerful Steve Jobs was that he killed Flash just by saying his devices wouldn't be supporting it.

Even YouTube is on the HTML5 bandwagon.

My computer operates at a much lower temperature now that Flash is disabled by default.

Just thought it was funny it was all because of one guy.

Silicon Valley rocks. Gilfoyle is the dude. Cracks me up.

That episode where Gilfoyle and Dinesh were using the "SWOT" chart to determine whether or not to tell that stunt driver that he would die if they didn't change the stunt.... I was laughing so hard.

Go is for people with a cable subscription and now is for cord cutters with Apple devices which is dumb as fuck but that's changing soon

So cord cutters with Android devices do not have a way of streaming from HBO? That doesn't sound right. They just alienate half the population?

Probably more because it's only worth watching on a TV with an Apple TV and not so much on an iPad or iPhone.

This new HBO show called The Brink airs tomorrow at 9:30. I heard a few rumblings about it on Reddit, so I'll give it a shot. Not quite sure what it's about but I was reading it was a comedy but looking at it, it might be a dark comedy at best. I'll still give it a shot. All the HBO shows I started watching the past few years, I've stuck with it from the first episode on. No reason to stop now.

I didn't expect much from Ballers, looked like an Entourage replacement with sports. I like Entourage, it's entertaining but I don't expect much from it. Ballers was actually pretty good

Yeah, that's what everyone's thoughts were after the premiere. It's got the Entourage formula but it tosses in sports. Sports interest me more than just Hollywood celebrities making cameos, so Ballers has the leg up on Entourage for me. And I liked Entourage too.

I liked the humor of The Brink. After not getting into political shows my whole life, the last year has seen me pick up House of Cards and now The Brink. And I've been watching Veep since it started too. I can get over the government/political/diplomatic jargon and scenarios, which usually go over my head. But two comedies and a drama about politics: I never thought I'd see the day I'd enjoy watching them.

Now I just need to get into True Detective, but I'll hold off on that until after GoT and maybe even The Wire.

BTW, shot in the dark, but does anyone have an HBO account I could use to stream some stuff and be willing to let me use it?
