Yeah, I know it's big in the UK. I've had one since Feb of 2015 and its kept me tobacco-free for that whole time until now.

I did cheat last year and have a Black and Mild once, but that was it for tobacco.

Just wanted to see if anyone else used it too.

Might need to make a thread on it for recommendations of juices and such?

I started with the Joyetech eGo which was a really good starter that got me completely off cigarettes. Now I've got a tiny mod, the iStick pico, as those are a big-time thing here in Vancouver. Actually in Europe smoking is MUCH more common than over here. A lot of people vape too, but over here, it might be the city or whatnot, when I rarely see a cloud outside, it's most likely someone vaping. It's not a social event like back in Europe and surely the 'social outcast' aspect of smoking helped me switch to vaping, and I'm really glad I did.

The EU laws on vaping in Europe mean you can only buy tiny bottles of pre-made liquids, so over there mixing your own liquids is the thing, which is also where I picked that habit that stuck too, and that's the best thing ever. You get exactly the amount of nicotine you want (tiny amounts now for me and exactly what you want from your flavor, mixing different flavors, including trying out different proportions etc.). By now when I have to buy something pre-made I always feel like it's just not as much to my liking as something I'd do myself. When you mix by yourself, you also know what exactly goes into your liquid, as the ingredients are Pharmaceutical Grade, and aroma manufacturers usually list the ingredients of their aromas too.

Also, it's peanuts, I bought 2 liters (like 70 ounces) of ingredients for about 30$, plus 20$ for 10 different aromas at a DIY store over here - you can get those online even for cheaper. That will last me for a year or so. Vape liquid companies make loads of money considering how simple and cheap it is to make it. You literally mix 4 things in right proportions and that's it, ready to vape.

Yeah, I had a simple set up from our local Walgreens, lol. I was mistaken on how expensive custom set ups would be so I bought a Haus Mistic starter kit and used that since 2/2015 and until about two months ago. It was good but then I thought it was shit because it felt like I could only use Mistic branded juices and flavors which I bought from Walgreens. Whenever I tried a different brand of juice, it would just be smoke and no flavor.

So I upgraded to an iCare 110. I still wanted something discrete that would fit in my pocket and look more like a pen rather than those box mods you see. So I like the iCare. The maintenance is minimal and I just change out the coil every 7-10 days. I get 5 coils for less than 10 bucks, so it's cheap. I also went with different flavored juice. I used the menthol/ice on my old set up so I did get the menthol flavor but from a different brand but I found I liked the old juice I used from Mistic and just liked the setup of the current pen. So I use the older menthol because now it's a ton more powerful but I also did what I thought I never would do and that was get the fruity flavored sour apple. So I mix some menthol with the apple and it's a unique flavor that I'm currently trying.

I heard about people making their own, like Masta said, and I might try it. I was using PG based juice in the past so I didn't get a lot of smoke but the flavor seemed more pure. The apple flavor I have is VG based and the smoke is thicker, which I've read is how it's supposed to be. But I can also feel it gunking up a bit more in the stem. So I might have to clean more often and even replace coils more often, too.

The battery life on this new one is pretty bad though. It's a 350ish mAh battery. My previous pen had like 600-700 and would last me a whole day of constant use. This one is good for just a few hours, but not proportionate to the decrease in capacity from my old setup. So I will eventually move on from this one too and look for a setup with more battery life and bit more power to get more smoke. After seeing how it's not so hard to piece together a bunch of parts and get a custom setup, I feel more comfortable putting money in to it. My iCare 110 was like $15 and it's an all in one setup. Built in tank and battery and I just change coils. I'm just on the fence about moving to those box batteries, that are 5, 10, even 20K mAh. I'd love not having to charge for days but the size makes me wonder just how discrete it can be. Which is not very. I'd rather be seen smoking a cigarette than puffing from a tiny brick lol.

You guys buy your stuff online or do you have a store near you? We have about 5 stores in a 10 mile radius of my house. Just dedicated vape shops so I go to the closest one and built a bit of a rapport with the guy there. But I do notice some things are a bit cheaper online compared to the store, like the actual vaporizers. But juice is even priced and the coils that I use right now are nearly half price.

Nice. I think I’m going to bump up to the eGo that masta has. The shop near me has it for $25 and has a 1500 mAh battery which is more than enough to last me a day. I hope. It also has a 2 ml tank which is bigger than what I currently have. I think it’s 1.5 ml or something.

I’ve seen the pico online and it looks a tad bit too big to carry in my pocket. Really, it’s the mouthpiece that looks like it would be a problem. In a bag, I bet it’s just fine.

I know some of you used to use Yahoo Messenger. I just read that it's being shut down.

Yahoo had that virtual pool game we all played, right? I think I joined the board right as that was dying out.

If you want a pocketable one, the eGo is really great. Probably a large upgrade over what you use at the moment.

I'm using the aspire pockex. Really like it and feels much better than smoking

Yeah, that's what I love about it. Me, my clothes, room, or car don't stink afterwards and the throat hit is less harsh but the flavor is more potent. I do miss the throat hit of tobacco and I'm sure I could do something about it with a more expensive vape pen that allows controlling the voltage but I've learned to enjoy the flavor more than missing the hit.

Nah not arrogance. The best players of the last tournaments have retired and the likes of Ozil were perhaps too old now or not good enough to carry the team and none of the young players were good enough to step up.

It was terrible.

Nah man. They had like 8 or 9 of the same starters and Reus wasn't inured this time. They didn't have Klose but he didn't really do much that last World Cup. Ozil, Kroos, Boateng and the like are still top players, only one I can agree with as getting old is Mueller, and while he had a good 2014 World Cup it's not like he relies on his youth to be good, he's more about positioning and mentality. They lost Lahm which definitely hurts but replacing him with Kimmich is very good for them. He's on his way to being one of the best RB's in the World. Pretty much everyone was saying they got better since 2014 and on paper they did.

Germans are arrogant plain and simple. Them showing up to the Confederations cup with a b team, which they still won, and then there going through the motions attitude leading up to this world cup showed that. Their play this cup showed their arrogance. Matter of fact, that's the same reason Bayern never win the CL.

Are you telling me Schweini wasn't missed? Hell, even Podolski? Klose didn't do much? Other than a crucial game tier and another goal against Brazil, and you know, breaking and setting multiple records that tournament. Shit Götze was missed, he's having some major health problems though.

This was a really different Germany -- I don't think they meshed -- There was no confidence or real momentum during any game.
