An RSX can smoke a G35, EVO & S2000

#1
Damn mane, I neva knew how fast this car was. 200hp manual and it kills these cars. Ma friend got one with intake, hondata chip, dc headers. It took a G35 (stick) by like 3cars. Pulled on a S2000 by a car. S2000 could'nt pull on it. And it took a EVO (stock) on freeway. I thought the G35 was the japanese newer skyline, so I hear. Bout wat, 280hp? and it got torched. Im jus surprised how a few mods'll tune up a car to do that. And I aint even bsing. Saw ma homies home made videos of street racing.. then headed with him to see that shit. The only car that takes it now is the 350z. I saw a vid of dem racing one. They got up a car & half and the Z pulled on it krazy takin it by 3 cars. Amazing cuz the Z and G35 are practically da same shit.

An Evo should easily beat a 350Z. The basic Evo has at least 280bhp. Most are running about 340 bhp. Or so I thought.

evo's i like very much but rsx has one of the biggest potentials. s200 aint made to race really. anyways all very good cars just rsx can surpass quite a few other models.

G35 the new skyline?

Hahaha. A standard R34 would smoke the living daylights out of a G35, out of an Evo and RSX's get eaten up too.

A G35 is running a 3.5L V6, big automatic gearbox, 280 hp or so.

A Skyline is running a straight-six 2.6 litre twin-turbo however. A stock HP of around that same 280, but the engine potentiel is enormous. And it can rev high. But even if we assume it's stock, it takes most same HP-cars because of the twin turbo's. 350Z's get smoked by Skylines. Easily.

Not to mention the 4WD giving it heaps of traction.

the rsxs have great potential. theres some making over 320whp all motor. with them mods it should be making around 230bhp-260bhp. and its lighter than the g35 so it will take it with better topend and less horsepower. it should weigh the almost the same as an s2k, so with more horsepower it should reel one in considering its better in torque. the evo is a heavier and has less topend so it should lose. now the 350z mightve been modded. id expect you to win against the 350z if its stock

Yeah RSX-S is a pretty quick little car. It's light and revs hard. Do some light modifications and it's going even quicker, although it will eventually be caught out by bigger engined cars. There's only so much HP to be made from a little 2 litre fourbanger without hurting reliability.

ummmmmmmmmmmm hate to BREAK IT to u but the G35 is the SKYLINE .......... not a GTR or anything but it IS a skyline go to Nissans japanese site and ull see that the Nissan Skyline and Infinite G35 are infact one and the same.....

maybe the 35 in G35 would give u a hint seeing how the previous Skylines "code name" was R34 ......... so yeah.

the AWD version of the g35/skyline (the coupe) atleast is rumoured to be out sometime in 07 . the specs are not clear but awd and a shit load of hp are a sure thing.

Yeah, it is a Skyline, technically, but then the big bulky executive version for the bored businessman.

It's a completely different car from the performance orientated R32/R33/R34 machines. THe only resemblence there is is that the engines got 6 cilindres both..

but yeah okay, it's a Skyline. THey're not the same car, though. G35 are part of the infiniti line-up. A G35 is aiming at the bored businessman who also wants good performance. But the man wants to travel in luxury too. R-Skylines dont know the word luxury. You cant even buy them without a 6-speed manual or it's high-end AWD system, merely options on the G35.

but u do have a point......... and i cant tell u how pissed off i was when i heard they changed the skylines styling into what is now the G35 but nevertheless the G35 coupe is one sexy car.

id kill for an R34 of any flavour.

word. i liked the old versions a lot better. I also liked the old R33's taillights better :p that they were the same size all four. R34 has a better front though.

and styling is one thing, but im disappointed in the new approach they're taking. The R32/33/34 were all about performance. Now all of a sudden they gotta be luxurious too. sure they can still perform well, but a R34 could easily take any of the cars mentioned at the start of this thread (Evo, S2000, G35, RSX). Plus the fact that the official stock hp of 280 (though i've heard the actual figure is above 300, dunno bout that  ) is so easily improved. some basic tuning and you're up a 100hp. With the engine itself being able to handle 550+ without serious internal changes. i dig that total performance attitude.

its becoming a lazy car now :(

ok i used to mod this fourm a while back.

First of most jap cars are servealy underrated from factory as an old rule was 206ps was the max power. To get around this they just listed it as that power. Manufacuors still list this as the highest power.

Also, in japan the skyline is and has been a family car. It is only when you get into the perfornce verison that there is anything to talk about. And that is how skyline got its performance tag. :thumb:

The limit for HP in japan now is roughly around 276 HP. I kill RSX's in my 05 Altima, id really want to see some videos of this, i don't believe you you need more people, feel me. Post em if you can.
