What makes you think we don't need a gun in the UK?
Ok, so we might not have it as bad as America but we still have gangs and thugs running the streets here.
Plus people that won't think twice about popping you one if you go thru there neighbourhood at the wrong time.
We got a lot of the same problems that America has.

saltynuts no but I am going to start a raffle to pick a volunteer.
After my accident I've been working a desk and a phone.
Biggest crime this is a quiet city, about 6 murders a year and 12 - 18 suicides per year. Worst thing a stabbing not in my city but while with another city.
Once I'm ready I'll re-apply at the Sherrifs dept again, and get the process going forwards their, they are looking for full time guys.
BTW not every cop is a trigger happy loon.
