Completely agree. I've had this for a few years. And have listened to it twice. When I first heard the really shitty rip years ago, I had very high expectations for it. But it really isn't very good.

That's odd. I mean the shitty rip reveals what the whole song sounds like. Can't imagine a better quality version being any different except.....better quality

Well, personally I also thought that "Reincarnation" sounds better in CDQ. In reality when the quality is bad you assume that the CDQ version will sound much better and you subconsciously add awesomeness to whatever sounds distorted. When you hear it in good quality it turns out that it's not better at all. Actually things you imagined to sound better aren't better in reality. Bads in a song are crystal clear too and that "mysticism" is gone. People consider a song to be better if it's "rare" "only available in so-so quality".
Then when it leaks it turns "meh".

So did I. Hence, my disappointment.

I will have a look for it and take a listen, and see if my opinion still stands.


Edit - The sample still sounds repetitive. There's not enough Pac. I like how he comes on the hook, and Mutah comes hard at times. Similar to his verse on Killing Fields. (The aggression)
