so in the last 2 years and a bit since i have been driving i have ran over 6 cats. 5 of them have died, and of those 5 one i had to kill because it was pretty fucked up.

has anyone else ran over a lot of cats?

on a side note i dont do this on purpose, they just run out in front of the car.

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

I have never. The only living thing (that is visible, I'm not counting ants here) I have hit with the car is a wild rabbit, which I tried to stop for but it was like 4 in the morning, foggy and I was doing about 80 and it ran out from the side so was no chance of missing it. :(

You should drive more carefully, you are hitting far too many.

im driving the speed limit, 50 kilometers in residential areas. its much more dangerous to either swerve or slam the breaks on to save a cat. my safety is more important than 1 million cats, in my opinion that is, 99 percent of people that know me would probably argue.

No but on our latest holiday trip my friend hit a few over a period of a few days. Usually you just can't do anything. I have no idea why but they sometimes just run in your way when you drive.

I ran over a tiny bird once, I wasn't sure if I was going to hit it cus I tried to swerve out of the way but I saw feathers fly up in the side mirror. Never hit a cat or a larger animal though...I'm sort of curious as well, how'd you kill the cat

I all ways fear of hitting animals on the road, luckily no casualties yet, but I do see alot of road kill when I drive about, so some one has gotta be mowing those poor beggers down :/

I gotta be honest with you, my parents live in an area that has a lot of forest preserves and there are deer, coyotes, raccoons, etc. I don't think I've ever hit one before. I'm sure it's noticeable, right? You hear a thump, your car feels like it's going over a bump...as you do 60... Never felt that. So I honestly believe I have never ran over an animal while I was driving.

Of course, I've seen tons of roadkill in my area and sometimes it's a bit hard for me to believe, but I've never seen or cleaned guts from my tires or bumper, or anywhere on my car. Maybe dead bugs. But that's it.

I've rarely seen cats run out on the road. I think American cats are a little smarter than most other cats. I sometimes see them pressing the button for the light change. Lots of squirrels on the road, though.

i stomped its head and neck area with my big boots. was kinda hard to do but it was in pretty bad pain, it was the most humane thing to do.

I would poop on its head. If the parasitic microbes don't get to it, the lack of oxygen will.

Nah, you'll notice it if you hit anything. Despite the fact that you're a terrible fag for ordering a BMW in 4wd, you do like cars and driving which most likely means you'll pay more attention to the feedback than most people. You'd know if you hit something, trust me. If you hit anything at a decent speed it's gonna leave a mark on your bodywork. Either in blood or dents (or a totalled car if you're really unlucky).

I don't understand the hate for AWD. I'm no driving purist, such as yourself. I don't refer to FWD as "wrong-wheel-drive." Plus, if my dad bought it for me, I really can't complain or argue with him if he thinks it will help in the snow, despite not having snow tires.

He did just take delivery of an F10 Alpina B7, which is RWD (offered in AWD, too, but he chose "right wheel drive" this time) so I guess that makes up for it.

I do beat 535is from 0-100 with the traction. After that, theoretically, drivetrain loss is greater and I should be at a disadvantage. Eat my nuts. I'm putting down 360 whp and 380 wtq. I love having AWD.

Man a couple of years ago I had my car parked outside over night, jumped in early in the morning and put it in reverse only to hear a HORRIBLE unGodly screech and scream. It was fucking terrible, loud, and piercing. I jumped out and after a moment realized that a cat had been sleeping on my left front wheel, it's tail got caught in the wheel somehow, wrapped around and as I reversed it fucking ripped it's spine out and wrapped the cat around the inner wheel thing. I had to jack the car up and take the wheel off to clean the mess up. It was horrible, it pulled its spine and innards all the way out and just pulled the poor thing inside out.
