It was business for a while but now Apple seems like a sniveling child in a corner cus someone has something better than theirs. Apple is like one of those stuck up rich kids on that My Super Sweet 16 show, actually that's exactly what they are. All the money in the world to have their big party but one little thing goes wrong or someone shows up in a car that's nicer than what they got for their birthday and they try to get it towed away or some shit lol. There is supposed to be an update regarding Android @ Home at the IO event later this month. To be honest, I hadn't thought much about it until my cousin told me that's the team he was part of now and that it had grown into a very large sub-team of Android. They obviously have some big plans for it.
I will definitely consider getting a Nexus tablet and selling my Motorola Xoom 2. Fucking Motorola still haven't pushed ICS (it's due next month) and now there's already an OS update due to be announced. We'll see how it looks at IO.

MIUI is boring after all. I went for custom ICS. I like it so far. Frankly, I expected bigger differences. Also it's not as smooth as GB was, though it's still plenty fast on Arc. However the UI, new browser etc. are heavier on resources. The task switcher is still far from perfect - still doesn't handle shutting down apps the way it should at all.
I dig the fonts, lock screen and all that kind of new stuff though. I like the concept of that task switcher really a lot too. It's just that there's still a lot to improve.

I have a theory that 4.1, regardless of whether it's Jelly Bean or still ICS, will have features that OEM's will be very keen to see implemented, and therefore the adoption rate will jump very quickly.
Either bloggers have forgotten, or weren't around for, the period between 1.6 and 2.2. I seem to recall that adoption rate from 1.6 to 2.1 was quite slow, but 2.1 to 2.2 was very fast and most devices were running it quite quickly.

I need more info on the Asus Nexus tablet. Although it's most likely a fake, I'm not too keen on the front design that has leaked so far. Could be worse though and it reminds me of a white iPhone.
I will most likely get the tablet if it's price remains low and it looks promising.
I think I read somewhere that this is not an iPad contender, but a Kindle Fire contender.
Is there any reason not to get this device? I would like to use it for multimedia purposes too, not so much for reading. Although gettting one might get me to buy a few eBooks.

Too hard to tell yet. It might be good knowing how Asus are able to release great hardware for cheap (to be fair using cheap plastic). If Google optimize its software for it and Asus packs a Tegra 3 in it, and the screen and battery are good it might be a great tablet.
And yes, the leaked pictures are most likely fake - it's a mix of Iphone, Galaxy S3 leaked design and oversized sensors and front camera (the size looks adequate for a phone, not a tablet). Not to mention the phone-ish speaker.
What can I say - I'd like them to release a 7-8 inch tablet at IO this year, which would pack Tegra 3 and a 200$ price tag. I'd definitely get it if it was good. Simply because I wouldn't want to pay much more for a tablet but 200$ sounds like a good price. On another hand I wouldn't buy a crappy tablet. So they have to work on their quality and components used to be able to offer a decent 200$ tablet.
